Q - I know that Greg Munford did the vocals on the song; also that he was in his own band at the time (Shapes Of Sound). When SAC was on tour, did Munford (or his band) tour with you to do the vocals on IP? If not, who sang the song while you toured?
Munford never performed with the band on stage...Randy Seol, our drummer, sang the song live.

Q - What guitar/effect/amplifier combination did you use for that classic lead guitar track on Incense and Peppermints?
I used a mid-60s Telecaster through a early 60s Fender Concert amp...with a Maestro Fuzztone. As soon as I got real money, though, I bought a Gibson SG Special and a Vox Super Beatle.

Q - When you composed the music for "Incense..." Ed, did you also come up with the organ parts, or was that done by Mark Weitz, your keyboardist? Just wondering if you laid the basic rhythm part down and the others adapted their parts to your rhythm, or otherwise how the song came to be composed.....thanks!
Mark Weitz had the entire music piece written...all I did was write the bridge. The song is mainly Mark's...that would explain the organ dominance. Actually, the only musicians who played on that track were myself, Mark Weitz and Gene Gunnels. Over-dub city.
Next time you hear it, listen for the only tambourine part in the song...the last trio of 'Incense...peppermints' lines in the tune. My shining moment on tambourine.
Q - So (I'm assuming here) that you did the guitars, the bass.....AND the tambourine at the end? Do you remember how many overdubs that you did yourself Ed?
That would be about it...and some background vocals. I can hear my voice in there and it drives me crazy.
