One night in Atlanta we had a little birthday party for Kevin Elson (Soundman). I don't know how everybody wound up in one small hotel room, but we were there.
All the band members, the road crew and a few other friends were all having a fine time when, for NO APPARENT REASON, Kevin dumped a full ashtray on RONNIE'S HEAD. In an instant, the room turned to chaos and Ronnie jumped Kevin. NO ONE COULD PULL RONNIE OFF! So we just waited for Ronnie to be through with Kevin.
But I can't recall Kevin being hurt too badly. Elson was a great asset to the band....but VERY OPINIONATED. Ha-ha...ALWAYS grumbling! I always got along great with him.
Elson has the gift of ears.

shaw: I wonder if Zap is around.I found a guitar someone was throwing out and it has Zapp on the headstock. Turns out its one of those Law Suit era Les Pauls. I'm putting it back together it was only the body & neck, with no hardware but I got all the parts now.
